How to choose the right LVP
Three numbers tell you almost everything about an LVP product: wear layer, core construction, and total thickness. We'll walk you through what they mean during the in-home consultation.

Click-lock LVP floats over the subfloor, installs fast, and is easy to repair. Glue-down LVP feels more solid underfoot, is quieter, and is the better choice for very large open areas and high-traffic spaces. We'll recommend the right method based on your subfloor and room layout - and our crew installs both.

The difference between a great LVP install and a bad one is in the subfloor. We level every dip, fill every low spot, and use the manufacturer-required underlayment - important whether you're on a poured slab in Suffolk or an original subfloor in an older Norfolk home. Our employed crews also handle stair nosings (custom-milled to match when factory nosings aren't available), baseboard removal/reinstall, and full tear-out and haul-away of your existing floor.

Luxury Vinyl Plank - frequently asked questions
Yes - LVP is one of the best basement flooring options here. It's waterproof, handles concrete slab subfloors without acclimation issues, and stands up to the higher humidity and occasional groundwater seepage that basements near the coast can see.
The top wear layer is highly scratch-resistant, but it isn't indestructible. Dog claws and heavy furniture being dragged across it can scuff cheaper LVP. We recommend a 20+ mil wear layer for households with large dogs.
Quality LVP with a 22+ mil wear layer lasts 20-25 years in a typical home, humidity and all. Commercial-rated LVP can go 25-30 years.
The LVP we sell is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality and CARB Phase II compliant for formaldehyde. It's safe to install in nurseries and homes with sensitivities.
